As a third-generation Denverite, Jim McNally was a twenty-five-year social science teacher for the Denver Public Schools and is now retired. He holds MA degrees in history (1970) and educational media (1975) from the University of Northern Colorado. In 1996 he and Bill Convery compiled a pamphlet on a history of Montbello. Later McNally wrote a book for Charlie Goldberg entitled Broncos: How Sweet It Is! (2000). While he was writing the Bronco book, he wrote historical articles for the monthly Brooks Tower Newsletter and the Friends of Manual Alumni Association.
