DateCirca 2010SummaryCoal Creek Schoolhouse is an excellent example of a one-room prairie schoolhouse. The original school was located along Coal Creek, but it burned to the ground in the late 1920s. The current building replaced it in 1926. The schoolhouse was donated to the City of Aurora in the 1970s and was moved to the Beck Recreation Center/Springhill Park. In 2011, it was moved to DeLaney Farm.
