Date1862 June 29SummarySamuel Dewel (Duel) served in the Civil War in Company A, 32nd Regiment of the Ohio Volunteers. He served from July 12, 1861 to August 19, 1862. He was honorably discharged for medical reasons. Friend A Hosterman wrote this letter to Dewel prior to his being discharged. Hosterman was with Sam's outfit and was camped near Middletown, Virginia.
