After his retirement as an airline pilot, Thomas K. Morton moved to a house in Denver next to Fairmount Cemetery. For exercise he would walk through the cemetery and became interested in the history it contained. He wrote several articles for his Home Association newsletter about some of the people he had researched in the cemetery.
