The hotel was constructed by Louis Dupuy, the proprietor, from three separate buildings, and was completed in 1890; shows west side of the hotel stuccoed to look like masonry, a balcony with a wire railing and supporting metal columns form a porch on the ground level. On the wall of a wall painting stating "Hotel de Paris" is visible; several large bushes are in front of the porch. One pedimented window is seen in the side wall, a sign reading, "The Hotel de Paris" is in the upper left corner, and at the roofline, which has iron decoration, are three metal chimneys and a sculptural figure with a raised arm, apparently representing justice. The first story extends to the right of the building proper, and the back of the hotel at the second floor level is above; a balustrade runs along the top edge of the extension, and a sculpture of a seated deer is placed in front of the balustrade.
