Five coaches of the streamlined train derailed when the eighth coach [was] struck broadside by a D. & R. G. W. passenger locomotive which ran thru an open switch as a result of a mixup in yard sig[nals]. No one was injured in the accident. Not a pane of glass was broken in the Zephyr. from clipping fragment attached to verso. "When the eighth coach of the Zephyr was struck by the oncoming D. R. & G. passenger locomotive, approaching at a[n angle], the rear trucks of the coach jumped a crossover and were sent down another set of tracks. As a result, the coach swung a[round, came to a] halt at the top of a V---the front set of trucks being on one track and the rear trucks on another track.
