Summary
Members of the survey crew pose at a camp site beside the Colorado River in probably Mohave County (later Grand Canyon National Park), Arizona. Men have full beards and wear wide brimmed hats, and sit beside a canvas tent. Shows a rifle, probably bed rolls on the ground, and row boats nearby.

U.S. Army," and "Geographical and Geological Explorations and Surveys West of the 100th Meridian" printed on verso. Condition: card mount torn and stained. Title and "just below the mouth of the Grand Canon. At this point two divisions of the expedition, operating in the country north of the river, met the boat party, and were transferred by it to the opposite shore," "(F. 130.)" and "No. 12" printed on label on verso.
