The block long brick, sand and lime stone building was built in several sections. The original section is six stories and has a cornice with dentils and decorative brackets. Architect Frank Edbrooke added the rear addition with round, arched fourth story windows, a Renaissance Revival influenced frieze, and a bracketed cornice, he also added the sixth story to the original structure. The final addition was the setback addition atop the building. Awnings cover the stores display windows.
