Letter included with slide reads: "October 20, 2000. To whom it may concern. In 1975 my husband R. Stanley Cenber and I moved to 654 Vine St. Next door at 660 lived a most remarkable man. The cousin of Woodrow Wilson, President of the United States (father was brother of WW's mother), Thomas Woodrow. He was an old man then widowed for years living in a house he had built before the Seventh Avenue Parkway was established. Tom worked for Mayor Speer. He was a lawyer and he was responsible for the condemnation of properties that infringed on what was to be the Seventh Avenue and Seventh Avenue Parkway. He so impressed one property owner that her husband hired Tom as General Counsel for the Denver and Rio Grande Railway. A retirement plan Tom designed for D & RG was postponed year after year because they didn't want to retire Tom. That's the story. We had a 100th birthday party for Tom at our house. He had been interviewed by the 'Post' as a 'centennial baby.' His daughter Fran Grebe and Betty Olinger came as did the mailman and Tom's gardener, everyone on the block and some who had lived there in the past including Ben Cherrington of DU renown.
