Summary
Horses graze near the former Colorado Salt Works kettle house and barn, a large two-story, wooden, L-shaped building with roof ventilators and a stone smoke stack, located on the Salt Works Ranch at 3858 US 285 near Hartsel (Park County), Colorado. The facility used the kettle and pan process to produce salt from nearby salt springs.
