Smoke rises from Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad 2-8-2 locomotive 484, with passenger train 216, the "San Juan," in Monero (Rio Arriba County), New Mexico. The train has baggage, mail and passenger cars, and is on a slope in probably Monero Canyon. A church is in the distance.
