Summary
Interior view of the bar in the Arthur E. Johnson residence, designed in the modern style by architect Burnham Hoyt, at 515 Race Street in Denver, Colorado. The bar has wood paneling, a metal pipe is mounted above the bar with vinyl hand rests. Built-in shelves behind the bar contain glasses decorated with geometric shapes, and bottles of liquor. An icebox is built into the wall. A painted sign posted at the bar reads: "Min Skal, Din Skal, Alla Vackra flickorsskal" (My toast, your toast, all beautiful girls toast.) A painted mural on the bar by Vance Kirkland depicts the stages of life from infancy to death and shows an ogre-like figure with a basket. An animal skin rug is on the floor, and a brick pillar is beside the bar.
