Summary
Young men, members of the Hermanos Penitentes, climb up a dirt path between sandstone rock formations in Abiquiu (Rio Arriba County), New Mexico. The men are barefoot and bare chested, they wear loose fitting white pants and have white cloth or bandanas over their heads. One man carries a large wooden cross and wears a woven belt. Two of the men hold probably whips.
