Summary
A stagecoach approaches Burnt Ranch Station, a stage stop and military garrison on the California, Mormon and Oregon Trails, in Fremont County, Wyoming. Shows a log fortification with a tower and stockade. Armed soldiers, telegraph poles, and a covered wagon are near the station. Wagon trains, a snow covered peak possibly in the Wind River Mountains, and the Sweetwater River are in the distance.
