Summary
View of Sweetwater Station, a stage stop, Pony Express station, and military post for the protection of emigrants, on the Oregon Trail in Natrona County, Wyoming. Shows a stagecoach, a wagon train with covered wagons drawn by oxen, a man on horseback, a bridge over the Sweetwater River, telegraph poles, and a log fort with towers and a stockade. Soldiers are near the log complex. Independence Rock and Devil's Gate are in the distance.
