Both women joined the show in 1887 as two of the "Western Girls." They were trick riders and ropers. A native of Colorado, Ferrell, right, wears a wide- brimmed hat with tassles hanging from its rim. Similar tassles hang around the edges of her short coat. Duffy, originally from Wyoming, wears a long skirt adorned with beads and tassles at its hem.
