People watch from in front of the Elliot House hotel; in front of the Ennis House hotel is a telephone or telegraph pole on which a street light is attached with an advertising poster for "Pyle's Pearline." Also visible are the American Hotel, the Dalgleish Photo Gallery, and the Cushman Block at the corner of Taos and Sixth (6th) Streets.
