Call NumberX-1139Date1870-1900SummaryExterior view of two wood construction houses in Georgetown, Colorado. The buildings are simple boxcar-shaped structures with gable roofs. The house on the left has a rock foundation of wide planks, three chimney pipes, three doors, and three windows. On the left a man stands, and two children in white dresses and a woman hold hands and stand to the right of him. A man in a vest holding a tool leans in the center doorway. Two sawhorses are in front of the house. The house on the right is similar in shape, but appears to have only one door, and it is surrounded by a picket fence with two gates. Two figures stand behind the fence, and a group of three children are in front of a gate. Other small buildings are visible. Clear Creek runs in front of the houses, and a rocky area has a small stand of trees by which a log has been placed, part of an area with remnants of a structure. The houses are on the west side of the town, with Republican Mountain behind; the road to Silver Plume is visible on the mountain.Physical Description1 photonegative : glass ; 13 x 21 cm (5 x 8 in.); 1 photoprint ; 12 x 21 cm (4 3/4 x 8 in.)Born-Digital or AnalogAnalogSubjectGeorgetown (Colo.)--19th centuryHouses--Colorado--Georgetown--19th centuryCollectionPhotographs - Western HistoryRelated MaterialImage File: ZZR710001139Type of MaterialGlass negativesPhotographic printsDigital Version Created FromRandallNotesFormerly F6569.
