Summary
View of a wagon train on the Oregon Trail and the Mormon Trail at Fort Kearny in Kearney County, Nebraska. Wagon masters with bullwhips, men with rifles, and women and children meet with military officers who sit on horseback. Shows ox-drawn covered wagons, the fort buildings, and an American flag on a flag pole on the parade ground. Trees are beside the Platte River in the distance.
