The club house (rebuilt after August 1899 fire, formally reopened in March, 1900) was constructed by Wood Investment Company for employees of Gold Coin Mine and sold after 1904 by Wood brothers to Dr. C.E. Elliot who converted it into a Red Cross hospital for over a decade, possibly when second story portico was enclosed (exact date unknown).
