On the right is the remodelled Manitou House, a three story frame and stone building with dormers, projecting bays and open porches with columns. Above it to the left is the Wheeler Building, Mansions Hotel, El Paso Livery, and the Barker House with its new turrets. In the center is the Hiawatha Gardens, a frame structure with gables and dormers. A sign on the roof ridge reads|"Hiawatha Family Concert Garden". On This side of it is a shingle style, three story dwelling, with gables, dormers, a bay window and chimneys. South of the Hiawatha is an open air pavilion with a gabled hip roof|on it is written: "Concerts Day & Evening". This is the dance hall with a suspended dance floor. The second Manitou School and the Congregational Church are left of center. On the left are three buildings on Manitou Ave.|two are residences, one is a two story store with false fronts and a Schlitz beer advertisement on the side. Across the street is the D. & R. G. Railroad Depot, a rusticated stone building with a high gabled roof and a chimney at each end|the freight and passenger sheds flank it. Above left is the Midland Terminal Depot, passenger and freight sheds. To its left is the Manitou Coal Power Plant.
