The building was designed by Frank E. Edbrooke in 1892 and was named for former Gov. Job A. Cooper. The Denver National Bank United States Depository is on the corner of the building. Lettering painted on windows includes: Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, Pacific Mutual Life & Accident Insurance Company, Bedell Mortgage & Trust Co., and Belden Consolidated Mining and Milling Company. The Lyceum Theater is at 1717-1723 Curtis Street. Scene includes a horse-drawn carriage, pedestrians on the sidewalk, and bicycles.
