Summary
The Colorado Fuel & Iron Company in Pueblo, Colorado, was created in 1892 to produce iron and steel for use in continuing the narrow gauge Denver & Rio Grande Railway from Pueblo to Canon City. Smoke pours from two smokestacks in the left background, possibly at the Minnequa Works. Several standard gauge box cars of the Denver & Rio Grande and gondolas of the Union Pacific Railroad are also in the left background. Additional smokestacks are in the right midground.
