Back row: George Minot, Walter Lovelace (now editor Boulder Camera) next man I cannot identify, Johnny Day and Joe Satterthwaite (who was Editor of the Trinidad Free Press during the coal strike). The police reporters' room was the former morgue in the sub-basement of City Hall. Five papers were represented: Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, Denver Times, Denver Republican and Denver Express. Among the reporters there were about 8 anchor men, but a host of assistants came and went. Names I can recall are P.B. Montgomery, Jimmy Shinn, Tom Hyder, Leland Carbary, Fred Cunningham, Harry McCabe, Diedrich F. Stackelbeck, Art MacLennan, John Davis (later a detective) and Gene Fowler (for one day only--there is an interesting story connected with this brief "visit"). Many other reporters spent a day or so now and then in filling in when the regular reporter had a day off. I recall Courtney Riley Cooper and Forbes Parkhill (who one time sold me his interest in the Englewood Enterprise for $10. I gave up my "ownership" after two weeks. In that time my sole income was a pair of passes to the Denham Theatre). Date: Sometime in 1912."; R7100288528
