View of frame buildings, houses and log cabins in Alta in Little Cottonwood Canyon (Salt Lake County), Utah. A partly legible sign on a commercial building roof reads: "Alta Brewery." Mine buildings, ore piles and a tipple, probably the Emma Silver Mines Company, are on hillsides.
