Tapuche was a delegate of his tribe at the treaty of 1873 in Washington, D.C. His hair is in braids, he wears a multi-strand choker with contrast color station beads, and has a cravat (tie) knotted around his neck. His buckskin shirt is heavily beaded with chevron designs and has fringe at the shoulders, elbows, and cuffs. He holds a woven banded patterned blanket to himself. His dark leggings have bead patterns in panels on the legs and wide beaded cuffs. His moccasins are plain deerskin.
