Call NumberX-911CreatorDallas, SandraSummaryThe Brown Hotel in Breckenridge, Colorado, is a two story, frame structure with a hipped gable roof and a dormer in front. A two story bay window is on the right, and the covered porch in front has a projecting, mitred central section that leads to the entry. A sign over the entry reads "The Parlour Steak House" in Germanic script. Numerous jigsaw cut paired brackets adorn the corners and center points on both floors, and a lantern on a pole is to the left of the entry. A neon and sheet metal sign over the dormer on the corrugated tin roof reads "Hotel," and a corrugated, galvanized pipe rises from the back of the building. Mining ore buckets are in the yard flanking the building, and modest dwellings are in the background on either side.Physical Description1 copy photonegative ; 6 x 6 cm (2 x 2 in.); 1 photoprint ; 13 x 18 cm (5 x 7 in.)Born-Digital or AnalogAnalogSubjectBrown Hotel (Breckenridge, Colo.)Breckenridge (Colo.)Hotels--Colorado--BreckenridgeGeographic AreaBreckenridge (Colo.)CollectionPhotographs - Western HistoryRelated MaterialImage File: ZZR710000911Type of MaterialFilm negativesBlack & white photographsPhotographic printsOriginal Material Found in CollectionWH1204.
