Summary
View, facing east, of ancient Native American (Anasazi) cliff dwelling ruins before excavation on Chapin Mesa, Mesa Verde National Park, Montezuma County, Colorado. The Cliff Palace stands underneath a cliffside overhang which is stained from smoke. The entire ruin is visible, including Fewkes Speaker Chief and Round Towers. The stone masonry pueblo ruins have square and T-shaped door openings.
