Summary
The Will Rogers Shrine, above Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado, is an 80 foot tower constructed from a single boulder of local pink granite. Commissioned by Spencer Penrose, the structure was dedicated to his friend, the "cowboy philosopher," Will Rogers. Battlements, a turret, and low walls finish the building, which has Westminster chimes and a vibraharp. Spencer and Julie Penrose, Horace DeVeroux and William Harry Leonard are interred under the Chapel floor.
