Call NumberX-2487Date1893-1894SummaryRusticated and finished stone buildings at the Soda Springs in Canon City, Colorado, were built in the 1890's with prison labor and feature incised friezes, finials and volutes, and a metal roof with ridge cresting. Retaining walls and railroad tracks are at the base of the crag behind; atop is a faceted stone tower with battlements and a balcony. Well dressed men and women pose on the sidewalk; one has a perambulator with a child in it, others are on horseback. Foothills are in the background.
