A ornate rug serves as a backdrop, other props includes a small marble top table with a tasseled runner, potted geraniums, and a fox skin on the floral pattern carpet. Hughes had a photography studio in a tent in Meeker from 1897 to about 1900. Later moved to Denver and took photographs of floats in the Mountain and Plains Festival Parade.
