Call NumberX-1357Date1870-1887SummaryView of a wood construction building at Sixth (6th, Alpine) and Rose Streets in Georgetown, Colorado, in Italianate style, with a hipped roof and eaves with brackets. Three business are on the first floor; one has a striped awning that reads "Mrs. D. Blair," and "Cigars," and a standing sign on the sidewalk that reads, "Fruit" among illegible words. Another storefront has a drapery which partly obscures a sign which reads, "Bankrupt Sale," with the company's name illegible. The Bank of Clear Creek County, on the corner, has its name written over the front and on the side of the building. Large windows flank the front door, and the side window reflects letters on the other side of the street, the largest possibly part of "Hotel." A group of men poses in front of the door and on the corner, behind a large lamp post which reads "6th St." and "Rose." A telegraph or telephone pole is at the corner. The side of the building has a balcony over an entrance.Physical Description1 photoprint ; 11 x 21 cm (4 x 8 in.)Born-Digital or AnalogAnalogSubjectGeorgetown (Colo.)Banks--Colorado--GeorgetownStreets--Colorado--GeorgetownCollectionPhotographs - Western HistoryRelated MaterialImage File: ZZR710001357Type of MaterialFilm negativesPhotographic printsBlack & white photographsDigital Version Created FromRandall AlbumNotesPhotoprint is glued to the album page, and has many wrinkles from the glue; one corner of the print has lifted and is folded back.
