The men are in suits and hats, the women are in dresses and elegant hats. A touring car with four passengers and its top off is in the foreground. Within the crowded enclosed area, an upright beam with pulleys hanging from it has an American flag atop it, and is lowering the block into place. To the right, the Masons stand in their aprons with their hats off and held over their hearts. The concrete for This block was mixed with Breckenridge gold, and a box of historical artifacts was placed next to it. The Methodist Episcopal Church, a frame, gable roofed structure with gothic arched windows and a belfry, is to the right.
