This three story frame structure, built in the Queen Anne style, has clipped gable roofs, ridge cresting, square corner towers that extend a floor above the main building, a northern tower with a lookout, and an open air porch on the main floor with a balcony on its roof that serves the second floor bay. Built in 1881, This enterprise offered 20 bathrooms with hot or cold water, a 32 x 33 foot plunge, 32 dressing closets, home- like parlours offering music and games, and a resident physician. In the foreground is a rail fence and a rustic gazebo is to the left, in which a boy sits. In the center, a man in a frock coat and planter hat stands at the stone ring around the Shoshone Spring; to the right is the footbridge across Fountain Creek.
