It is a two story building constructed of Gilpin County granite, except for the top and sides. Is has a mansard-style roof with smaller towers on opposite sides of the roof. The second story has a balcony with spindles and there are arched windows and entryways on both the upper and lower levels. The words "Opera House" are above the second story windows, and billboards are on opposite sides of the front door. The buildings of Eureka Street are in the background, including the First National Bank block, Washington Hall, and Williams Stables.
