Hunt was the Republican Governor of the Colorado Territory from 1867-1869. Originally the residence of District Judge C.D. Hoyt, until 1878, the house later became the home of "Doc" Ball, a druggist, then an Alamosa Senior Citizen Center. The building stands at the north end of what is now Cole Park. The two- story Victorian features intersecting gables, projecting bays, shutters, a decorative vergeboard and a front porch. People stand on the steps leading down to the river. Other wood frame structures are on the right side of the house. Picket fences surround the buildings.Physical Description1 copy photonegative ; 21 x 26 cm (8 x 10 in.); 1 photoprint ; 21 x 26 cm (8 x 10 in.)Born-Digital or AnalogAnalogSubjectHoyt, C.
