Leadville Zouave Drum Corps pose in front of a painted tree backdrop. Group of boys and a few young men wear uniforms of fitted caps, jackets with standup collars, embroidery, brass round buttons, side stripe trousers with gaiters and waist sashes. The boys in the front row, holding large drumsticks, sit on the grass with a snare drum at their center. The second row sits and the boy on the right end has a strap with a bass drum at his side. The back row stands. This group is the traveling competitive drill organization that attended National Encampments of the Grand Army of the Republic. Members include A.V. Bohn, Alvin Bloss, John Coleman, Jr., James McDowell, Will Youe, Herbert Frey, Edras Herbert, Bert Roberts, Henry Ellis, Will Quigley, Will Brown, Rich Caffrey, George Buffehr, F. Buffehr.
