The three-story wood frame building was built in 1878 by August R. Meyer and features clapboard siding, window shutters and pediment-shaped window heads, a hipped roof with a flat top and two chimneys, a porch with decorative balusters, straight posts and moldings. Repair work is evidenced by one ladder leaning against the side of the house. In 1881, it became the First Methodist Episcopal Church parsonage and in 1886, the home of Patrick A. and Ellen Healy Kelly who transferred ownership to her brother, Daniel Healy. Later, his cousin Nellie occupied the house and donated it to the Leadville Historical Association.
