Call NumberX-198CreatorCurrent, Ira B.Date1933SummaryPhotoprint of two watercolors of Leadville, Colorado's Tabor Opera House original scenery. Painted by Muriel Wolle's as part of her University of Colorado scenery project, one painting is a three panel scene of water and sky; the other is of a block structure with a turret and window on the back of one square and one trapezoidal flat showing brace construction. In December, 1933, a group of students, professors, and a former Tabor stage manager located and set up original canvas flats and drops to document and photograph, while Wolle sketched each set and made color notes which were developed into large watercolor paintings.Physical Description1 photonegative : nitrate ; 18 x 13 cm (7 x 5 in.); 1 photoprint ; 17 x 12 cm (6 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.)Born-Digital or AnalogAnalogSubjectTabor Opera HouseLeadville (Colo.)InteriorsOpera houses--Colorado--LeadvilleTheaters--Colorado--LeadvilleTheatrical productionsWolle, Muriel Sibell, 1898-1977Geographic AreaLeadville (Colo.)CollectionPhotographs - Western HistoryRelated MaterialImage File: ZZR710000198Type of MaterialNitrate negativesPhotographic printsOriginal Material Found in CollectionMuriel Sibell Wolle estate, 1977.NotesDesigned by Muriel Sibell Wolle, et. al and "10"--Handwritten on back of photoprint.
