This elegant two story Tudor style residence of Dr. William Bell was rebuilt in 1888 after a fire in 1886. Built of local stone, it features gables, dormers, bays, cylindrical stone chimneys and porches. The open, arcaded west porch has carved stone arches, and a badminton net is set up on the lawn. Fancy jigsaw work adorns the gable peaks and porch uprights, and ridge cresting tops the lower roof extensions.Physical Description1 photoprint ; round image 8 cm (3 in.) mounted on album page 18 x 23 cm (7 x 9 in.)Born-Digital or AnalogAnalogSubjectBell, William Abraham--Homes and hauntsManitou Springs (Colo.)Houses--Colorado--Manitou SpringsGeographic AreaManitou Springs (Colo.)CollectionPhotographs - Western HistoryRelated MaterialImage File: ZZR710001706Type of MaterialPhotographic printsNotesHand-written on back of album page: In W.
