The show was to run along the length of the 16th Street Mall, with the primary focus being the Daniels & Fisher Tower at 1101 16th Street, at 16th and Arapahoe. Image features hand-drawn illustration of the 16th Street Mall from the Tabor Center to the World Trade Center building, including the Federal Reserve Bank and parking lot, Independence Plaza building roof, Walgreens store, and Only in Colorado store. The drawing indicates where there would be fireworks and music. Also includes a photographic image of a historic building with a crowd, and images of fireworks shooting off the building. Handwritten notes indicate "The Fuse is the News: A Mile Long Celebration." Part of this proposal was accepted and used for the official Denver celebration on December 31, 2000 -- technically the last day of the 2nd millennium.Physical Description1 page : color ; 28 x 43 cm (11 x 17 in.)Born-Digital or AnalogAnalogSubjectDenver (Colo.)--Anniversaries, etc.Millennium celebrations (Year 2000)--Colorado--DenverHistoric buildings--Colorado--DenverDaniels and Fisher Clock TowerFireworks--Colorado--DenverGeographic AreaDenver (Colo.)CollectionPhotographs - Western HistoryRelated MaterialThis is one page of a larger portfolio.
