On note card with photograph: "1943 at Chicago Ridge. Corporal Metnik, later 4th Platoon [Technical Sergeant]. [December] chopped his knee just after we got to Italy. [Private First Class] Don Kresse 1st [Platoon], then 3rd Platoon Third Squad [Staff Sergeant], then 3rd Platoon Sgt. when [Technical Sergeant] Bert Cross was wounded on Della [Torraccia] moved to 1st Platoon when Harold Beck was wounded. When Claude Ford was killed at [Torbole], Kresse moved to the 2nd Platoon the last day of the war in Italy. Tim Evans regimental [Sergeant] Major. [Technical Sergeant] Bert Cross taught skiing at Sun Valley after the war ended. Right front [Private First Class] Harold Beck later 1st Platoon [Technical Sergeant]. Rejoined the company at Riva so Kresse moved to 2nd Platoon. Lippincot became 4th Platoon [Technical Sergeant]. Tim Evans killed with General Darby after war ended. Sgt Begasse also wounded."
