Exterior photograph of the First National Bank of Denver building, prior to its restoration, located in Denver, Colorado. From its 1911 opening, this building was associated with the development of commerce and banking in Denver. It served until 1958 as the headquarters of the First National Bank of Denver, an organization dating back to 1865. The First National Bank was the first bank to locate on 17th Street and thus represents the beginnings of the thoroughfare's development into the financial center of Denver and the surrounding region.
