View of the Philip Zang Monument in the Riverside Cemetery, located in Denver, Colorado. Monument is in the Greek style with a geometric border along the bottom, a Grecian urn covered by a draped cloth on top. In 1876, Riverside Cemetery served as Denver’s primary resting place for the prominent and influential, the unknown and unwanted. The cemetery grew out of the 19th century movement toward the creation of landscaped rural-type.
