Grave of Colorado Territorial Governor (1862-1865) John Evans and his wife Margared Gray Evans in the Riverside Cemetery located in Denver, Colorado. In 1876, Riverside Cemetery served as Denver’s primary resting place for the prominent and influential, the unknown and unwanted. The cemetery grew out of the 19th century movement toward the creation of landscaped rural-type.
