In 1876, Riverside Cemetery served as Denver’s primary resting place for the prominent and influential, the unknown and unwanted. The cemetery grew out of the 19th century movement toward the creation of landscaped rural-type. Photograph of the tombstone for Edgar G. Johnson, son of A.P. and C. Johnson died May 18, 1888 at age 6 months.
