Having just retired from the U.S. Senate, I certainly understand the mixed emotions one feels when leaving public office. As I recall, you entered the Denver City Council about the same time I entered the Senate. When you reflect back on three terms of service for the community you can be sure the residents of District 3 will always remember a council tenure that was marked by quiet grace, integrity and a keen perception of Denver's needs.
