Exterior of library. Named after Frederick R. Ross, who owned the commercial real estate firm the Frederick Ross Company. Ross worked to improve the Denver Public Library and was
instrumental in building the library’s first permanent facility at Colfax and Bannock in 1910. When he died, his will established a trust that funded the creation of four branch libraries. The Ross Barnum Branch opened on May 21, 1954. 3570 West 1st Avenue, Denver, CO 80219
