Minutes of Executive Committer Meeting - July.15,1^75-
Patti Jackson revealed a letter of determination from the IRS
regarding the tax status of CHUN. Membership rhier. were not
recognized as n tnx deduction. CHUN apnears to bo oligablo
to use its non-orof.it status for certain advantages, i.e.

Agenda items for Board meeting:
1. Transportation committee should become active on feasibility
studies for pilot-plans for the roll.-bn.ok of an existing
one-way street. This activity should ho done in conjunction with grouns such as the South-Central Improvement
Assn., Park Hill, the City, Deoea, etc.
City Council paced a resolution extending the moratorium
on one-way street designation.
Ideas as to what will be required by the study will be
solicited. If surveys are conducted in this regard, the
groups involved in survey work should be reimbursed.
2. The idea of oontraeting for the operation of the People's
Fair was raised. It was suggested that a committee be put
together to develop alternatives.
3. There was a discussion of the need to begin -planning for the
next all-member meeting. There were expressions for a big
social event, separate social and business meetings, and
joint purpose affairs. Further ideas will be sought from

5. Greg Tuke reported on his activities of neighborhood familiarization as a prelude to his official intern status this Fall.
Hill Pace noted that Randy was meeting people and groups in
this regard. Bernie and Bill are to draw up opooific proposals for the interns work programs.
6. There was a discussion of t:e role of the CDA staff. Bill
Pace raised the objection that the staff 0an make decisions
irregardless of CHUN. Gail responded thnt citizen input
will come when the program organization becomes more concrete-.
The availability of land acouisition funds for Capitol Hill area
mini-parks was discussed. Bernie will getthe facts on this.
