A man in cap and overcoat and a boy with snowy feet pose by the Idledale bridge in Idledale, Colorado. A sign on the log bridge reads, "Idledale, Fishing, Boating, by the Day, Week, or Season, Furnished Rooms and Board, J. C. Starbuck, Prop., Tel. Highland 82, Morrison 4 1/2 Mi., Denver 20 Mi." Cottages, small buildings, a picnic table, and a swing are on the other side of the bridge, surrounded by tall leafless trees; an evergreen grows by the bridge. Sunlight casts shadows on the snow which covers the ground.
